8 Days Aberdares National Park and Samburu Safari

You’ll also go on game drives to search for the wealth of wildlife as well as soak up the scenic landscapes and waterfalls. Next stay at Samburu National Reserve and explore this reserve as well as Buffalo Springs. You might spot the rare oryx, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and more.

5 Days Aberdare and Samburu safari package is a combined safari package offering an adventurous experience to Aberdare national park and Samburu National Park, this package offers encounters of a variety of wildlife species such as lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and many more which will be spotted on a game drive experience.

Day 1 - Friday: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Receive a warm welcome from our team and transfer to your comfortable accommodation in Nairobi. Rest and relax, preparing for the transformative journey that awaits you.

Day 2 - Saturday: Enjoy a delightful breakfast before departing for Nyahururu, the location of the children's home. Journey through picturesque landscapes, immersing yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Kenya. Arrive at the children's home and receive a heartfelt welcome from the staff and children. Engage in various activities, such as educational sessions, playing games, and participating in creative projects, fostering meaningful connections with the children. Share meals and stories together, experiencing the love and warmth of the children's home.

Day 3 - Sunday: Begin the day by attending a local church service, embracing the African way of worship. Immerse yourself in the uplifting songs, inspiring sermons, and spiritual atmosphere. Break bread and mingle with the locals, connecting with the community on a deeper level. Return to the children's home and continue engaging in activities that contribute to the well-being and development of the children.

Day 4 - Monday: Nyahururu - Aberdare National Park: Wake up to a heartfelt breakfast at the children's home and bid farewell to the children and staff, knowing that your presence has made a meaningful difference in their lives. After breakfast, you will proceed to the Aberdare National Park to arrive in the afternoon. You will have lunch on your way to the Aberdares and then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Afterwards you will be transferred to The Ark. The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! Later dinner and overnight at The Ark.

Day 5 - Tuesday: Aberdare National Park Full Day: After a nice breakfast at the lodge, you will go for a full day game in the park. Aberdare National Park is called the ‘majestic moorland’ and is characterized by picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland. You will be able to see elephants, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, olive baboons and much more. Our tour guide will do his best to show you all the animals which are living in this park but he will also take you to the most beautiful waterfalls. You will enjoy a great picnic lunch under the tree in the park. At the end of the afternoon he will bring you back to The Ark where you can relax before having dinner.

Day 6 - Wednesday: Aberdare National Park - Samburu National Reserve :

Depart from the Aberdares to explore both Samburu and Buffalo Springs Reserves. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp and relax, getting ready for your first afternoon game drive. Samburu National Reserve offers distinctive vistas of rugged hills and undulating hills. You will have a chance to spot the rare oryx, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, crocodiles, hippos, herds of elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyena, cheetahs and if you lucky enough the elusive leopard. The mix of grassland and wood with a swamp and riverine forest makes the reserve home to a wide variety of animal and bird-life while game viewing in the reserve is excellent due to its visibility. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Thursday: Full Day in Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Reserves:

You will have a full day in Samburu Game Reserve starting with a 0630 hrs game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. Later leave the lodge with a packed lunch to explore both Samburu and Buffalo Springs Reserves. A visit to a cultural village may be organized if you are interested. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 - Friday: Samburu National Park - Nairobi :

Early morning breakfast at your camp, check out for morning last game drive in Nairobi before you drive to Nairobi, Lunch en-route. The driver will then transfer you to the airport for your morning flight back home.
