Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, heading west towards Masai Mara. The drive offers spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley, with a stopover for photos and refreshments along the way. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, famed for its abundant wildlife and sweeping savannahs. As the sun sets, return to your accommodation for dinner and an evening of relaxation, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 2: Full-Day in Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of game viewing in Masai Mara. The reserve is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, offering opportunities to see lions, elephants, cheetahs, and perhaps even a stealthy leopard. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a scenic spot, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the reserve. The day may also include an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about their rich traditions and culture. After an action-packed day, return to your lodge or camp for a hearty dinner and restful night.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Start your day with breakfast before bidding farewell to Masai Mara. The journey to Lake Nakuru offers picturesque views of the Rift Valley escarpments. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park by midday and enjoy lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in the park, known for its diverse birdlife, including flocks of pink flamingos, and large populations of both white and black rhinos. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
The day begins with a leisurely breakfast, followed by a morning game drive to capture more sights of Lake Nakuru’s unique wildlife. Spot the elusive Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, and perhaps a shy leopard. Afterward, depart for Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. The safari ends with fond memories and incredible stories of Kenya’s stunning wildlife. Drop off at the airport or hotel.
