Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your safari begins with an early morning drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara, passing through the stunning Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the Mara for lunch and then enjoy your first game drive in the afternoon. The Mara is home to the Big Five, and you'll see lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, and more. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara. Explore the expansive plains, searching for lions, leopards, wildebeests, and more. You’ll have a picnic lunch inside the park, continuing the safari in the afternoon. You can also visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditional culture. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to rhinos and thousands of flamingos. Arrive by afternoon and enjoy a game drive around the lake, spotting rhinos, giraffes, lions, and a variety of bird species. Afterward, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch at your lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive to see elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and more, with Kilimanjaro as a stunning backdrop. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day in Amboseli
Start early for a full day of game viewing in Amboseli. The park is famous for its elephant herds, but you’ll also spot lions, cheetahs, and a variety of bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Amboseli to Mombasa (By Road)
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive before embarking on your road journey to Mombasa. The drive will take you through the diverse landscapes of southern Kenya, and you’ll arrive in Mombasa by late afternoon. Check into your coastal hotel, enjoy lunch, and then spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach or exploring the nearby areas. Dinner and overnight stay in Mombasa.
Day 7: Full Day in Mombasa
Enjoy a full day in Mombasa, where you can visit historical sites like Fort Jesus, Old Town with its spice markets, and the beautiful beaches. You can also opt for a dhow boat ride or indulge in water sports like snorkeling or diving. In the evening, enjoy a coastal dinner by the beach and spend the night at your hotel.
Day 8: Mombasa to Nairobi (By Train)
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in the morning for shopping or a leisurely walk along the beach. Later, board the luxurious Madaraka Express train for your scenic ride back to Nairobi. Enjoy the views of Kenya’s landscapes during the 5-hour journey. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure, concluding your amazing 8-day safari adventure.
