Amboseli is considered Kenya‘s biosphere reserve. The name Amboseli in Maa (Masai language) means place of water, and it reveals its true nature. In its swamps live massive herds of elephants and are likely to pose a show for you. Much other wildlife will reveal themselves - observe hippos, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, buffaloes, wildebeest, and gazelles. Not to forget all the predators lurking around - lions, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas are likely to be seen. And more than 350 bird species, among them flamingoes, cormorants, storks, and ostriches. A full package, so to say. And with us achievable in only one day. Amboseli National Park is a semi-arid land of swamps, home to over 400 bird- and 47 raptor species and it completes one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world. Known as the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park offers unparalleled views of Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's tallest mountain. Home to large herds of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and more, Amboseli National Park is a visually stunning park located just three hours' drive from Nairobi. This overnight visit allows you both afternoon and morning game drives in the park.
Day 2 - Saturday: Arrive at the children's home and receive a heartfelt welcome from the staff and children. Engage in various activities, such as educational sessions, playing games, and participating in creative projects, fostering meaningful connections with the children. Share meals and stories together, experiencing the love and warmth of the children's home.
Day 3 - Sunday: Begin the day by attending a local church service, embracing the African way of worship. Immerse yourself in the uplifting songs, inspiring sermons, and spiritual atmosphere. Break bread and mingle with the locals, connecting with the community on a deeper level. Return to the children's home and continue engaging in activities that contribute to the well-being and development of the children.
Day 4 - Monday: Nyahururu - Amboseli National Park Wake up to a heartfelt breakfast at the children's home and bid farewell to the children and staff, knowing that your presence has made a meaningful difference in their lives. Drive to Amboseli national park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arriving with a short game drive at booked camp or Lodge check in, have lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive at the park later. Dinner and overnight at Booked camp or Lodge.
Day 5 - Monday: Amboseli National Park Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a further game drive or to a camp for a swimming . Lunch at lodge. Then later to afternoon game drive returning to the camp for dinner and over night at the lofge.
Day 6 - Monday: Amboseli National Park - Nairobi After breakfast leave Lodge for the last game drive, leave Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi time for lunch have lunch then Drop off .If you wish arrive Nairobi in the evening you can have more game drives check out with packed lunch, drive to Nairobi arrive around 5 to 6 pm then drop off hotel/airport.
