Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Nairobi to Masai Mara. En route, enjoy the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Mara, where you’ll encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and elephants. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
After breakfast, embark on a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara. This park is famous for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos. You will have the chance to spot predators in action, herds of wildebeests, and perhaps even a cheetah sprinting across the plains. A picnic lunch will be served in the park, followed by more game viewing in the afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara
Enjoy another exciting day in the Masai Mara. You will continue exploring different sections of the park, maximizing your chances of spotting wildlife. In the afternoon, you may also visit a Maasai village to learn about their rich culture and traditions. After a full day of adventures, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart the Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingo-filled lake and rhino sanctuary. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive around the lake, where you’ll encounter rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of birdlife, including flamingos. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, travel to Lake Naivasha, known for its peaceful setting and birdlife. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on the lake, where you’ll spot hippos, water birds, and beautiful scenery. You may also visit Crescent Island for a walking safari to encounter giraffes, zebras, and other animals. After the boat ride, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and head to Amboseli National Park. On the way, enjoy scenic views of the countryside and the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch and check in to your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the park, which is known for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full Day in Amboseli
Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Amboseli. The park is home to large herds of elephants, along with lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. The stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro makes this one of the most picturesque parks in Africa. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your game drive in the afternoon. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Amboseli to Nairobi
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart Amboseli for Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location or the airport, marking the end of your 8-day safari adventure.
